SHED Studio, founded in 2003 in Brooklyn, New York, is a multi-disciplinary design studio directed by visionary duo, architects Colin Faber and Leni Niemegeers-Faber. 

SHED’s design process engages working with the existing environment, by re-using and re-programming found objects and spaces.  While SHED strives to implement sustainable practices, they continue to explore new forms and approaches in the process. Further, the importance of accessibility (cultural and physical) plays a key role in their democratic approach of design.

Architectural projects by SHED Studio include; performance spaces, restaurants, fashion showrooms and residential projects. SHED expounds the boundaries of the architectural field to production design, film sets, stage sets, costume design, choreography and industrial design. 

In 2007 the renovation of their studio was published in Dwell Magazine.
Their design of an art performance space, Brooklyn Sugar, was recently featured in an international publication by DAAB, a book on the best club designs from all over the world. (Club Design, 2009)
Currently SHED is designing and building a residence in New York City as a model for urban dwelling with an ecological conscience.
